Carnival is synonymous of joy, color, fun and music! And in Portugal it's no different. Held from north to south of the country, there are carnival parties for all tastes. The joy you feel in the 10 days of celebration is contagious; the Carnival of Torres, which is the most Portuguese carnival in Portugal and is undoubtedly the best known and loved by all revelers who travel from the north and south of the country to Torres Vedras these days, where you can meet Matrafonas. Also, the historical center of Alcobaça is completely transformed in order to receive the Carnival, celebrated with great inspiration in Brazilian traditions. To the south, near of Lisbon you have the Carnival of Sesimbra. In this carnival the party is made through parades and dances where the animation is guaranteed, as well as the bright colors, Brazilian music and social satire. You will also find the Sines Carnival with parades for all ages (there is a children's and senior parade) and the fun is guaranteed. The hottest Carnival is Loulé, which fills the Algarve with color and rhythms of Brazilian samba.
