6.12.18-The University of Coimbra went out in defense of responsible and honest conduct in the learning process and punished 77 students for plagiarism and fraud in their work and evaluation tests, since the implementation of the Student Disciplinary Regulations.
Temptation has consequences!! From the academic year 2012/2013 until the last academic year, the University of Coimbra sanctioned 77 students for improper practices in the learning process through interdiction and temporary suspension sentences, thus highlighting the importance of the implementation of the Disciplinary Regulations for Students of the University of Coimbra, in force for now for 6 years, according to Publico.
Cases of copying, possession of electronic equipment, simulation of identity, falsification of documents and association of the name to the works of other students were detected and punished, with the maximum sanction having been the suspension of taking tests for a period of 1 to 5 years.
This mechanism of control and detection was reinforced with the commissioning of anti-plagiarism detection software in the previous academic year by UC, honoring the commitment in transparency and ethics, defended by the Dean, João Gabriel Silva.
