16-01-2020 The Faculty of Humanities of the University of Lisbon (FLUL)  together with the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation launched a new award in the area of Humanities, the Professor Francisco Vieira de Almeida Prize. 

The Prize, launched in honour of FLUL's philosopher and full professor, will be awarded every two years and will be worth 20,000 Euros, plus 5,000 Euros to support the publication of the winning work, unpublished, by the University of Lisbon Press, will distinguish the best scientific work submitted by FLUL graduates, masters, PhDs or post-doctoral researchers. 

Applications for the 1st edition of this new prize is open and will run until 31st May 2020 and the results are expected to be published on 30th  October 2020.
