9.12.2021-The University of Coimbra already has an inclusive library for people with visual and neuromotor difficulties. It aims at the inclusion of students with specific educational needs, and it is installed in the General Library of the UC.

In a world that is more and more aware of the Inclusion concept, the UC now has a set of equipment and technological solutions, granted by the Altice Foundation and that allows the inclusion of students with specific educational needs, installed in the General Library.

It is a project achieved by two institutions that share the same values (UC and Altice) which are focused on digital inclusion and research of new inclusive solutions.

As stated by the dean of the UC, Amílcar Falcão "It is one more action towards the promotion of equity and the guarantee of equal opportunities, for the academic success of students who need them".
