04/01/2024 – A new look at Lisbon
A new year has just begun, and if you're thinking of something new to do in Lisbon, how about a new look at the city?
We suggest a visit to discover the city of Lisbon through a periscope that allows you to examine the city in real time, in a 360º view.
The entry to São Jorge Castle not only gives you the chance to explore the entire monumentalised area and the gardens of this national monument, but also, during opening hours, to 15-minute guided tours in Portuguese, English and Spanish of the Archaeological Centre and the Dark Chamber/Periscope.
The equipment is installed in one of the most emblematic towers of the São Jorge Castle, known today as the Tower of Ulysses (Torre de Ulisses) and formerly known as the Torre do Tombo, where the most important documents of the Kingdom of Portugal were archived from the 14th to the 18th century.
From October to February the opening hours are between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and you can buy your ticket online here, or at the Castle's ticket office.
