26.11.2020-Portugal was considered the Best Destination in Europe at the World Travel Awards, for the fourth consecutive year. 

The "Oscars of Tourism", the World Travel Awards were awarded at the ceremony on the 1st of November, this year replaced by a virtual ceremony due to the Covid-19 pandemic. 

In total, Portugal has collected 26 awards. Lisbon, Porto, Algarve and Azores are among the winners. 

As Rita Marques, Secretary of State for Tourism, says "health, protection and trust are unquestionable synonyms of the national tourist offer" which makes Portugal the country with the highest international credibility.
