13.8.2020-In Leiden's ranking, the University of Lisbon is the highest ranked university on the Iberian Peninsula.

The Leiden ranking analysed  the scientific production of 1176 universities from 65 countries inthe 2015-2018 period , placing ULisboa in the 121st position worldwide and 30th in Europe, and leader in the Iberian Peninsula. This is a highly prestigious position in a ranking that is structured according to the scientific production of the universities.

Leiden´s ranking is one of the most important international rankings, its evaluation is based on scientific production and its impact, using bibliometric data from the Web of Science, produced by Clarivate Analytics.
